C3 @ Stockport Art Gallery
C3 will start to meet as a community at Stockport Art Gallery from September this year!
We have premission to begin to use the Art Gallery for worship from September 2006. Jackie Mellor, who is the gallery manager is quite excited about it!
We wil meet for the first time on September 10th, at 6.00 pm. Our theme for this first time will be 'Beginnings' and over the months we will use other simple themes that will help us develop 'alternative' forms for worship and prayer.
Thereafter dates will always be 2nd Sunday in the month 8th October, 12th November and 10th December.
It will be open to all;
- people who don't 'do church'
- people who attend their own church but choose to link to C3 in thsi way
- Churches who encourage members to be part of the community and bring back ides to use at home
- Churches who do not have an evening service
- Members of C3 groups
- People who would not say that they had a Christian faith but want to 'observe and inquire'
We will encourage the gathered community to contribute to the themes. We like the way the early church went about it!
"What then shall we say, brothers? [and sisters!] When you come together, everyone has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. All of these must be done for the strengthening of the church."
